From the Grand Canyon, go north to the shores of Lake Powell for a leisurely cruise among the beautiful canyon walls. You also have the opportunity to take a leisurely float trip in Glen Canyon or a flightseeing excursion over Lake Powell. Then continue into Navajo country for a Navajo cookout and time to dip in the pool while you admire the beauty around you. Have your camera ready for some spectacular shots during your 4-wheel drive Navajo-guided tour of mystical Monument Valley. Enjoy a relaxing 2-night stay at Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, offering you a ranch-like experience amid luxurious Western charm and spectacular scenery. From Moab, visit Arches National Park with its 2,000 natural sandstone arches, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point State Park for a lovely picnic lunch and wine tasting. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Las Vegas

. (Sun.) Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas! At 6:30 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Las Vegas–Grand Canyon

. (Mon.) Leave the bright neon lights of Las Vegas behind and cross the old Mohave gold-strike country, passing through Williams on historic Route 66 and the Kaibab National Forest to arrive in the GRAND CANYON. Marvel at one of the Natural Wonders of the World as you experience the dramatic views. There’s time to wander along the Canyon rim, join a ranger-led program, or perhaps just savor the sunset. (B,D)Special Feature: Your hotel is located on the rim of the Grand Canyon, a rare opportunity for great views and a significant extra when traveling with Globus.

Day 3: Grand Canyon–Lake Powell

. (Tue.) For a once-in-a lifetime experience, take our optional flightseeing excursion over the heart of the Grand Canyon with incomparable views of flame-colored walls plunging 4,800 feet into the Colorado River. Later this morning we travel north to the shining shores of Lake Powell. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely boat CRUISE and the opportunity to photograph the fascinating scenes created by the sharply eroded canyon walls. Your resort features sweeping views over the lake. Day 4: Lake Powell

. (Wed.) A Globus Platinum exclusive, CHOOSE YOUR EXPERIENCE today. Enjoy a leisurely FLOAT TRIP in Glen Canyon, where you’ll learn about the history, ecology, and geology of the region, or a narrated FLIGHTSEEING excursion over the shimmering blue waters of Lake Powell and fascinating Rainbow Bridge. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy all the amenities of your resort. (B)

Day 5: Lake Powell–Monument Valley

. (Thu.) This morning, continue into Navajo country to secluded Goulding’s Lodge in the heart of Monument Valley. Upon arrival, take a dip in the pool and admire the Western sky above or perhaps explore the Goulding’s Museum and Trading Post, home to a wonderful collection of movie memorabilia and Indian artifacts. Tonight, enjoy a NAVAJO COOKOUT. (B,D)

Day 6: Monument Valley–Moab

. (Fri.) In the cool hours of morning, set out with a Navajo guide in a comfortable 4-WHEEL DRIVE vehicle to explore Monument Valley. Have your cameras ready for some incredible shots. Later this morning we continue further north to the resort town of Moab for a relaxing 2-night stay at Red Cliffs Lodge on the Colorado River. (B,D)Special Feature: Your hotel in Moab is the Red Cliffs Lodge. Offering guests a ranch-like experience amid luxurious Western charm, Red Cliffs Lodge sits high on the banks of the Colorado River surrounded by cliffs and situated where Western favorites such as Wagon Master and Rio Grande were filmed.

Day 7: Moab. Excursion to Arches National Park

. (Sat.) This morning we visit ARCHES NATIONAL PARK, home to more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch and many other unusual rock formations. Next, on to CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK, a magnificent showcase of geology, then to DEAD HORSE POINT STATE PARK for a lovely picnic lunch and wine tasting while a local lecturer provides information about the history and geology of the area. The reminder of the day is yours to relax at your resort. Perhaps enjoy a relaxing massage, a game of tennis, or a hike along one of the many trails. (B,L)

Day 8: Moab–Bryce Canyon National Park

. (Sun.) A day of rich contrasts leads you to BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK. The slow erosion of ages has created fantastically sculptured rock formations resembling castle towers and cathedral spires. The natural amphitheatres and canyons glow with different lights throughout the day. You’ll overnight inside the park at Bryce Canyon Lodge. (B,L)

Day 9: Bryce Canyon National Park–Zion National Park

. (Mon.) After a leisurely morning, descend into half-mile-deep ZION NATIONAL PARK. “Zion” means a place of peace and refuge. Relax at your lodge and enjoy the colorful sandstone walls that rise thousands of feet above the lush greenery of the canyon floor. (B,D)

Day 10: Zion National Park–Las Vegas

. (Tue.) Head for the excitement of Las Vegas, where you’ll stay at Treasure Island in the heart of the Strip. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Director. (B,D)

Day 11: Las Vegas

. (Wed.) Continue your stay in Las Vegas. Your Local Host will have plenty of suggestions to help you make the most of your stay. (B)

Day 12: Las Vegas

. (Thu.) The day is yours to explore more of Las Vegas. Try your luck in the casinos, explore the famous “Strip,” enjoy a glittering show with top entertainers, or just relax by your hotel’s pool. (B)

Day 13: Las Vegas

. (Fri.) The vacation ends this morning after breakfast with guests departing on individual schedules. Airport transfers are provided. (B)

About Globus

Globus offers mid-range tours in popular destinations around the world. They use group rates to book services at a reasonable cost. They have a variety of tour options to fit any type traveler from single expert globetrotters to families.

Traveler profile

Most passengers are 40s-70s, especially catering to retired couples. Almost exclusively Americans.

Group size

Globus usually books a maximum of 52 passengers on their buses. There is seating for 55.

Tour directors

Bus drivers and tour guides are Globus employees but your tour will also include a few local guides. Globus tours guides are very experienced (minimum of 10 years experience before Globus will hire them) and often spend many years with the company.

Hotel type

Generally stay in centrally located 3 and 4 star hotels.

What's included

Most city tours included which include the most popular sites in each destination. Optional excursions, special dinners, etc. are extra. Some meals included and some of the meals include wine, etc.

Free time

Leisure time is built in to most destinations. Even more leisure time if you opt out of the extra excursions.

Booking Policy

CANCELLATIONS & CANCELLATION FEES:
If cancellation is received by Globus before the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable deposit and Travel Protection premiums will be retained in addition to any airline-imposed fees or penalties. For individual reservations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. Total price does not include discounts, promotions, or special incentives. * 45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
* 21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price plus Travel Protection premiums
