I was born in 1981 with the travel bug but without a wallet. At least I thought that's what it was but later discovered it was just jaundice--which also explains my nickname.
In this life, I thrive for adventure--experiencing new cultures, exchanging ideas, and sharing laughs. My ultimate goal is to be a tour manager and/or a fantasy writer.
For almost two years, I've been living and working in Bangkok, Thailand and having a blast. In 2001, I volunteered in Kolkata, India with Mother Teresa homes working with orphans (Shishu Bhavan) and the terminally ill (Kalighat). During my high school years, I travelled via non-air-conditioned school bus (twice) from Florida to Mexico in order to build a church, school and orphanage.
Outside of humanitarian work, I also love great outdoor adventures. I have extensive white water rafting and wilderness experience having rafted four of the major rivers in the Eastern United States as well as an unforgettable four-day, three-night Colorado River trip through the Grand Canyon.
